La Soupe has a small, working board that was created when it became a non profit organization in 2015.
Jim graduated with a degree in Chemical Engineering from Purdue University in 1978 and went to work for Anheuser- Busch. After working as a process engineer for 5 years, he obtained an MBA from the University of Indianapolis. He then worked for Quest International and while there, his team won Quest’s Global Safety Award and ICI’s Global Sustainability Safety, Health and Environment Award and ICI’s Best Plant Award. For ICI, he managed the North American Operations, including production, supply chain, quality, procurement, engineering and customer service. When ICI sold the business to Givaudan, he was asked to co-lead sales for North America. There he developed a passion for helping others achieve their career aspirations. After a 30 plus year career in the food ingredient business, he returned to school and obtained an Associate’s Degree in Culinary Arts.
Suzy is a French trained chef. She spent 30 years running her own high-end boutique catering business. She was extremely successful, but became disenchanted by the excess and waste; she saw the huge need in our community and marshalled her skills, experience, relationships, and passion to found La Soupe. La Soupe’s mission is the RESCUE fresh produce before it hits landfills, TRANSFORM it into nutrient-rich soupes and sides, and SHARE it with our hungry community.
Mimi Dyer is currently a full-time volunteer for various organizations, including ProKids, Kindervelt, and La Soupe. She was formerly a Business Analyst for Inslaw Inc. a computer software company specializing in developing tracking systems for Private and Public entities. Mimi worked in the private sector with corporate legal departments and claims litigation offices, specifically. She received her bachelor of Arts from the University of New Hampshire.
Stephanie Hughes, Ph. D.
Stephanie is co-founder of Super-h, LLC, a next generation technology landscaping tool, founded in 2015. She is also Founder & CEO for the Chapel Hill North Group, a provider of competitor and market research services for corporations since 1999. Stephanie previously founded three other companies. Stephanie also serves as an Associate Professor of Strategy at Northern Kentucky University. Stephanie received her Bachelor of Science in in Marketing and an MBA in International Business from St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia. She received her Ph. D. in International Business and Strategic Management at Temple University in Philadelphia.
Ginger is a Certified Public Accountant, Principal and Tax Specialist at Truepoint Wealth Counsel in Cincinnati, Ohio. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) as well as the Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants (OSCPA). Ginger serves on the AICPA Tax Reform Task Force, which advocates sound policy and assists lawmakers on tax policy matters. She also teaches tax continuing professional education courses for the OSCPA and has taught undergraduate accounting and tax classes at the University of Mississippi and Villa Julie College (now Stevenson University) in Maryland. Ginger has extensive experience in tax research, planning, and compliance. A magna cum laude graduate of the University of Alabama’s Culverhouse School of Accountancy, Ginger holds both a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a master’s degree in tax accounting.
Julie has long been involved in community charitable and non-profit organizations such as the Indian Hill Swim Club, Kindervelt #50, Stepping Stones, Cincinnati Ballet, Indian Hill Lacrosse Association, and La Soupe. Having served on boards for each of these and as chair/co-chair for many of these organization’s largest fundraisers, Julie has experience in event planning and fundraising. Julie received her Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Kentucky and spent over twenty years as a business professional focused in the areas of Benefits, Human Resources, and Mergers and Acquisitions at several companies including Lab Corp of America and Cintas.
Lisa is an attorney focused on commercial real estate, with a long history of assisting charitable institutions in making the world a better place. She has led a $10 million capital campaign for her church, served on the Board of the Episcopal Retirement Homes, served as the Chair of Examining Chaplains for the local diocese, and counsels non-profits such as Tikkun Farm and Sustainable Faith. Her Iowa farm roots find enormous fulfillment in seeing the riches of the earth being artfully transformed into tasty food which sustains the physical and soul life of children who would otherwise not know such wonders exist. Her BA is in Philosophy from Wheaton College. She has done graduate work at Fuller Seminary and received her JD from Santa Clara University.
