To be educated

director of corporate communications for a cosmetics company:

It all started with the “Pink Ribbon in Your City” campaign that we ran with the Cancer Prevention Foundation. For five years we toured 20 cities, examined 40 thousand women and held round tables with doctors and lectures on disease prevention in specialized universities. In 2018, together with the Women’s Health Foundation, we opened the “Together” Breast Cancer Support Center for Women. Here specialists help patients overcome stress, cope with the disease and recover more quickly psychologically and physically. Since the Center opened, more than 3,000 women with breast cancer and their loved ones have gone there for help.
The next step was our participation in the Cancer Prevention Foundation’s “Just Ask” project. This is an online referral service for cancer patients and their loved ones that was launched in February 2019. You leave an application on the website, and within a few days a foundation expert contacts you and helps you sort out your diagnosis and determine the next steps. The experts have already conducted more than 700 breast cancer consultations. The project was conceived and developed by the Foundation and we have assisted in its development and have taken over the support of the breast cancer consultations.
Now more and more people want to work in companies with a sense of purpose, where you can not only make money, but also participate in a big movement that changes the world. We believe that business can be a force for good. How to do this is another question, and we can start to solve it in partnership with NGOs.
